Product Description

The Movo MACH is a full-size luxury 4-wheel mobility scooter built for riders who want road-legal sidewalk speed and car-like comfort — 18 km/h, up to 40 km of range, a 1300 W motor and a 355 lb weight capacity. It replaces the ignition key with a contactless key card, puts speed, battery, temperature and trip data on a full-colour digital display, and rides on all-round adaptive suspension with pneumatic tyres front and rear.

Most large mobility scooters are built to a price and look it. The MACH is Movo’s flagship: automotive-style LED headlights and running lights, a moulded front fairing, 16″ rear and 14″ front pneumatic wheels, and a diamond-stitched captain’s seat with headrest and armrests. It is the scooter you buy when the machine is going to be your daily transport rather than an occasional aid.

Two features set it apart from everything else in this class. The first is contactless key-card start — hold the card near the tiller and the scooter wakes; there is no key to fumble with, drop or lose, which matters a great deal if you have limited hand dexterity. The second is the full digital display, which shows speed, state of charge, temperature and mode at a glance instead of the single battery bar most scooters offer.

The MACH takes an optional hard-top canopy in matching Blue or Red, turning it into a genuinely all-weather vehicle. With the canopy fitted you can ride through rain and strong sun without getting soaked or overheated — the single most common reason large-scooter owners leave the machine in the garage.

Please note: batteries are not included with the MACH. The scooter takes two 12 V 80 Ah batteries, which Movo does not supply. Speak to us before ordering so we can arrange a matching battery pack and the 8 A off-board charger — the scooter cannot be ridden without them.

Key Features

18 km/h top speed One of the fastest mobility scooters sold in Canada, with a 1300 W motor and 200 A controller.
Up to 40 km range Two 12 V 80 Ah batteries carry you across town and back on a single charge.
Contactless key-card start Hold the card near the tiller and go — no key to turn, drop or lose.
Full digital display Speed, battery level, temperature and drive mode on one clear colour screen.
355 lb weight capacity Rated to 160 kg, comfortably above the 300 lb limit of most mid-size scooters.
Full adaptive suspension All-round suspension plus pneumatic tyres soak up kerbs, gravel and broken pavement.
Dynamic LED lighting Automotive-style headlights, running lights and rear lighting for low-light riding.
Optional hard-top canopy Matching Blue or Red hard top turns the MACH into an all-weather vehicle.

How the MACH compares to the Sutton and Monster X

Movo’s three large scooters suit three different riders. The Sutton is the value choice at 16 km/h and 50 km of range, with batteries included — the right pick for most buyers who simply want a big, comfortable scooter. The Monster X is the off-road machine, built for gravel, grass and trails. The MACH is the luxury road model: fastest of the three, best-equipped, and the only one that takes a hard-top canopy.

Both the MACH and the Monster X are supplied without batteries; the Sutton includes its 80 Ah pack. Factor the cost of a battery pack into your comparison if you are weighing the MACH against the Sutton.

Riding range in the real world

The 40 km figure is a maximum, measured on flat ground with a light rider at a steady speed. A realistic planning figure for a heavier rider on hilly ground with frequent stops is roughly 55–70% of the rated range, so budget for about 22–28 km per charge. Cold weather reduces it further — lead-acid capacity falls noticeably below about 5 °C.

Charge after every day of use rather than waiting for the battery to run low. Deep-cycle batteries last far longer when they are topped up regularly than when they are repeatedly drained.

Delivery and assembly

The MACH ships freight on a pallet in a carton measuring 80″ × 32″ × 45″ and weighing 230 lb. It arrives largely assembled — the seat and tiller are fitted on site. Because of its size and weight this is a curbside freight delivery; please make sure someone is available to receive it and that you have a route into the property that can take a 65″ long, 28″ wide machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are batteries included with the Movo MACH?

No. The MACH is supplied without batteries — it takes two 12 V 80 Ah deep-cycle batteries, which Movo does not supply. Please contact us before or when you order and we will arrange a matching battery pack and the 8 A off-board charger. The scooter cannot be ridden until they are fitted.

How fast does the Movo MACH go?

The MACH has a top speed of 18 km/h (about 11 mph), making it one of the fastest mobility scooters available in Canada. Speed is adjustable, so you can dial it down for indoor or crowded use.

What is the real-world range of the MACH?

Movo rates the MACH at up to 40 km per charge. That is a maximum under ideal conditions. A realistic planning figure for a heavier rider on hilly ground is about 22–28 km, and less in cold weather.

What is the weight capacity of the MACH?

The MACH is rated to 160 kg / 355 lb, which is higher than the 300 lb limit typical of mid-size scooters such as the Movo Brome.

Can I fit a canopy to the MACH?

Yes. Movo makes a hard-top canopy specifically for the MACH (item S38.CANOPY), available in Blue or Red to match the scooter. It fits only the MACH — the standard Movo Canopy is for other scooter models.

How does the key-card start work?

Instead of turning a key, you hold a contactless card near the tiller and the scooter powers up. It is more secure than a key, and far easier if you have arthritis or limited hand dexterity. Spare cards are available.

How is the MACH delivered?

By freight, on a pallet, in a carton of 80″ × 32″ × 45″ weighing 230 lb. Delivery is curbside, so please arrange help to move it and make sure the machine can reach where you intend to keep it.

Summary

The Movo MACH is Movo’s flagship mobility scooter: 18 km/h, up to 40 km of range, a 1300 W motor, a 355 lb capacity and full adaptive suspension, finished with automotive LED lighting, contactless key-card start and a full digital display. Available in Blue or Red with an optional matching hard-top canopy. Batteries are not included — contact us to arrange a pack with your order.

Important Notice: Specifications are supplied by the manufacturer and may change without notice. Stated battery range is a maximum measured under ideal conditions and will vary with rider weight, terrain, gradient, tyre pressure, temperature and battery age. This product is a mobility device, not a motor vehicle; check your municipal and provincial rules before riding on roads or bike lanes. Always read the manufacturer’s user manual before first use. If you are unsure whether this device suits your needs, consult an occupational therapist or your healthcare provider. The MACH is supplied without batteries; two 12 V 80 Ah batteries and an 8 A charger must be purchased separately before the scooter can be used.
